Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
